Why you not sit down fo?

I was at the Elton John concert yesterday.

As with any concert where the audience is Chinese and/or in the age range 30-50, it was a civilized “sit-down-in-your-seat-and-clap-your-hands” affair.

A few rows up from me though, a crowd of Gweilos started dancing already after the first few songs. A large group of uniformed men immediately surrounded the dancers, trying to get them to come to their senses and sit down.

The No-Fun Police were clearly visualizing an Elton John audience of lawyers and investment bankers turning into football-style hooligans, launching Molotov cocktails at the band during Your Song.

I’m not saying it couldn’t have happened!
